My chatbot and voice interaction session from DWCAU 2019

Aug 18, 2019

This month saw me get back to the Australian Digital Workplace Conferece for the first time after a few years away from it, and it was great to get amonst that crowd again. This year saw me present on how to use AWS services to build chatbots and do some cool stuff with voice interaction. This is one of my favourite talks to give to customers because it shows off just how easy it is to get started in this space, and that you don’t need to be a developer to build some great solutions. This tweet from Bec Jackson is a great example of how this was received during the event.

For anyone who hasn’t had a chance to go and look in to Amazon Lex and Amazon Connect these are worth a look, they were the main services I focussed on during this talk. Be sure to keep in mind that they both have levels of use included in the AWS Free Tier, which can let you get started for a quick proof of concept or small workload without incurring costs for those services. Check out the free tier site for all the details on this.

Lastly if you’re curious, check out the slides from my session on SlideShare. If you’re keen to know more, be sure to hit me up on Twitter
